I've read several times that you do not want to store a Ltih Ion battery at full capacity, more like 60 - 70% - even the alternate 2 month charge should not be taken to full.

Any 400 watt hour e-bike (typical rating) will handle that commute, you could probably even run at full power, but lower consumption will of course preserve more battery.
