Hey all, I've been looking for an Allant+ 7 or 8 in size L or XL. I'm 6'1", so right on the border between the L and XL according to Trek's website, but based on inseam, the website suggests a L. My inseam would need to be an inch or so higher to me to be on an XL, according to the fit guide...

Interesting, thanks! I just received an email yesterday that the shop has built the L Allant+ 7. I'm planning to give it a test ride tomorrow afternoon, so I'll get to check the fit firsthand. Thankfully, they do have an XL Allant+ 8 on hold for me at the other shop!

Thanks Dallant! So do your above two photos show that there is less than 0.5% wear in both cases? (Rail 5 with <100 miles and Allant+7 with well over 1700 miles)

I've never used one of these before, can you explain what this means? I get the 0.5% wear mentioned above, but is the tool supposed to fit between the links? Does this indicate good or bad performance of the Allant+ at 1300 miles? Thanks!

Hi OP, I'm also wondering about upgrading the fork on the Allant+ 8, and am curious if you were able to find a suspension for to fit your Allant+ 8. The Allant+ 7 uses a SR Suntour Mobie25. I think it would fit since they have the same frames. I'm wondering about the fender though.
