Suspension Fork Specs for Trek Allant+ 8S

How do I find out what suspension fork would fit on an ebike? Just purchased (exchanged for) a Trek Allant+ 8S and my dealer tried my fork from my Bulls bike but was too short. Said would’ve worked but new forks come long so can trim. Preinstalled forks will already be fit for that bike.

I have my dealer looking at SR Suntour and Roc Shox for options. I was just curious how you even know what would work if I was to purchase online myself.

Changing from a no suspension fork to a suspension will change the steering dynamics and geometry. Been there, done that. Unless of course suspension was an OEM option, but that’s rare.

I’m just wanting a 50-80 mm max suspension fork. Would be on a new bike. They make ebike specific suspension forks 3rd party too.

I bought an Allant 8s a couple of months ago and was thinking about doing the same thing. Did you do it yet? I assume the front forks from the Allant 7s would fit. I believe it is the same frame and they have front shocks.

Ryan, my Allant+7 uses a Mobie2 and it sure seems the +7 and the 8 use the same basic frame. Have you checked with Trek about a replacement fork?

Hi OP, I'm also wondering about upgrading the fork on the Allant+ 8, and am curious if you were able to find a suspension for to fit your Allant+ 8. The Allant+ 7 uses a SR Suntour Mobie25. I think it would fit since they have the same frames. I'm wondering about the fender though.
