I think I'm going to need a chain soon for my Trek Allant+ 7S (with 1,164 miles) since it measures .50%. Yes, I know that Trek recommends the exact chain that comes with this bike (their brand or someone else's), but are there others that I should seriously consider to take its place? Thanks!

Just curious. How many of you kept the bell that came with your Trek ebike? If you replaced it, what bell did you get as a replacement?

And since they’re connecting your bike’s computer to the Bosch software, you might want to have them update your drive unit and battery.

Unless you have the three Trek (corporate owned) shops near my home telling you that they will charge $35 to $40 to connect their computer to your bike, your humble opinion unfortunately won’t matter— even the Trek shop that sold you the bike.

Thanks, Dallant, for your comments! Even if they charged us a tiny fee, like 99 cents for a cellphone app, they'd make big bucks to change their approach. Now only the bike shops are making the big bucks by charging crazy high prices to do what I could do in my home. Anyway, thanks again...

Try taking another look. The number may be hidden on the side of the pedals closest to the crank. It's stamped in the same color as the pedal.

I have a question. Is there a governor of some type on a Trek Allant+ 7S (which is a Class 3 bike) that limits (or even prohibits) a rider from easily reaching 28mph? Thanks!

In my humble opinion, there must be something more to this issue or else Trek would have issued a recall campaign to only have these pedals examined or adjusted (i.e., torqued again) without replacing them and without giving a $20 credit. There must be some deeper issue with this more costly...
