    Turbo Levo v Hydra

Good comparison as I've also been looking at the Turbo Levo. Where did you rent from?

Moscow Plus Brake Pads done in 880 miles

I'm not sure what caliper they use on the Moscow. Tektro makes common pads that are compatible with some hydraulic or mechanical brakes, but I'm not sure the Moscow/Moscow+ is in that range. The easiest way would be to remove your caliper and check the back of the pad. If it says A10.11 then...

How I bypassed the speed restriction on my NCM 500W/48V Moscow Plus 29er.

The way I did it, my C7 display was still active, although It wasn't measuring power or speed, which is probably reported by the Moscow controller. And the brake lever interlocks as well as the cadence sensor is not hooked up - this is a throttle only mode. But, I think the Hall sensors could be...

How I bypassed the speed restriction on my NCM 500W/48V Moscow Plus 29er.

As an experiment I temporarily replaced (bypassed) my Moscow Plus controller with a FSESC 4.12 50A controller based on the VESC programming format. This is a 60V max controller with tons of programmability. It will even analyze the motor connected to it to optimize controller parameters. This...

    Moscow regular seat replacement

I'm using the Wittkop touring bike seat, keeping with the German theme, and I'm happy with it on my Moscow+.

Aspen speed in MPH, but odometer in KM?

Confirmed - even though the odo reads KM, it's actually measuring miles. I can live with this.

Aspen speed in MPH, but odometer in KM?

Good question - I' haven't ridden mine for a while so I can't say for sure, but I'll check that out.

Aspen speed in MPH, but odometer in KM?

The L7 display on my Aspen reads speed in MPH, but the odometer reads in KM. I didn't see a thread on this, but Leon Cycle knows about the problem and says there's no fix - sorry. Do all the L7 displays do this?

Known Issues & Problems with NCM Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

If it's like the Moscow+, it's easy to pull the battery and unscrew the frame mounted battery connector to get access to the headlight Julet connector and cable. The headlight cable is hardwired to the battery cable and runs at full battery voltage. I bought a 2 pin male Julet connector off...

    et.Cycle??

I'm still curious how they can advertise a significantly longer "150 km/94 mile" range on a 15 AH battery for the T720, while the Moscow Plus with a 16 AH battery advertises 30-60+ mile range. My real world range in hilly Southern California is closer to 35 miles with my Moscow plus.

New Moscow Plus - my mini review

The only tricky part was the metal bending for the rear seat stay to get it to look decent. I could have mounted the front rack supports to the center bar on the seat stay, but I wanted to leave that open to mount a Cafe/frame lock like you're looking to do. So far I haven't found a frame lock...

    et.Cycle??

I see Leon Cycle is now advertising ET.Cycles T720 and T1000 with 40% more range (?) out of a not much larger battery than the NCMs. And they're apparently using a 750 Watt das-Kit motor (new motor or stronger controller?). Google had nothing to say about current reviews of any kind. Even the...

Moscow Plus Brake Pads done in 880 miles

You're right they are the same size - I was confused by the spacer on the front caliper mount.

Moscow Plus Brake Pads done in 880 miles

Granted I live in a hilly section of So Cal, but my other mountain bikes do a few thousand before pads are toast. I wouldn't think 30 lbs more weight should make that much difference, but I am climbing higher than my human powered bikes. It was also interesting that the rear pads wore out first...

Install dedicated headlight with Das-kit C7?

The front light Julet connector on the Moscow Plus is hardwired to the battery leads at the frame mounted battery connector. It runs at full battery voltage.

    Rear Derailleur Downgrade?

Didn't realize they were this cheap.

    Rear Derailleur Downgrade?

Agree. I see them as part of the Tourney line on the Shimano website, just the bottom end of the line. Take a look at the $98 Wal-Mart bikes with "Shimano shifters" and you'll see this bargain basement derailleur. And with all the recommendations to switch over to an 11-34 freewheel on the XP...

    Rear Derailleur Downgrade?

Lectric responded to my inquiry - "The other model was out of stock and we would've had to wait 3 more months to send bikes out if we wanted to use the exact same model." Not really happy with the bait and switch. I ordered the bike on 12/12 and it was delivered on 12/19. I guess they can ship...

    Rear Derailleur Downgrade?

The rear derailleur on my new ST is different than that pictured on the Lectric website. It's simply labeled "Shimano" and appears identical to the ones found on the bargain basement Wal Mart bikes. What's up with that?
