2020 : Our Rides in Words, Photos & Videos

Sorry about the bike. Did I read that you have had it 10 years? If so then it would seem it has served you well. I hope I get as much out of mine!

Bosch Gen 4 update for Model Year 2022 and onward

These features are very useful to me, and one of 2 reasons I almost went with Specialized over Trek. The fit of my Allant was so perfect I chose it but I really would like to have more data feedback.

Motor torque..how concerned am I? 80 vs 50 Nm on Giant bike. Same price.

Very similar experience. I just passed 600 miles and I have had my bike not quite 2 months. It is very hilly where I live in the Black Hills. 1 flat. My bike is the +7s but the motors are identical. Also, it is very stable. I have not had opportunity to ride a giant but my giant full suspension...

Also , I love the easy remove so you can electronically lock the bike. I'll take all the options I can get to make my bike safer.

Bosch Gen 4 update for Model Year 2022 and onward

Yay! Very exciting. How expensive an upgrade to add to an existing bike in place of Purion would you guestimate?

I see lots of discussion of range but what about headwind/tailwind?

It has been very windy here lately and I feel like there has been an impact on my ride as well. Particularly since everything in my area involves a climb.

    Trek Verve + 3 here

I love reading your adventures on your Verve. I rode the Verve+3 and it was very nice. Super comfy. Like @Dallant I live in a hilly area and also on lots of gravel roads. the more I thought about it the more the flat bar and geometry of the Allant seemed better suited to my primary riding...

Trek Verve 3+ vs CO-OP Cycles CTY e2.2. Electric Bike

Hi, seems like there was a discussion here somewhat recently about that CTY bike. I thought it looked pretty nice. I do not have an REI near me, but I would be interested if they did. I did ride a Verve+ , I liked it alot. Very comfy. I did upgrade to the Allant+ 7s and I am at over 550 miles...

Yesterday was one of those blissful Fall days so I headed out to one of the most beloved cycle rides in the Black Hills, Spearfish Canyon There was still plenty of color to be enjoyed in this beautiful canyon though it...
