nope. they made too many bikes during the bike boom, and now have to get rid of them. profit margins are low or fading, and it won't be surprising to see some significant changes, consolidation, bankruptcies, etc. keep in mind that they laid off a significant amount of their workforce last year...

how did it screw everything up? i get calls on the bike all the time, typically just ignore them or tap the red icon. when i do take one on a ride, every ride app i’ve used just continues in the background. i’ve even done a zoom while on a ride, works just fine lol

food can be a strong motivator lol. i think my best hour was probably 240 watts or so, best 3 hours without stopping around 210. best 6 with one stop probably not quite 200. but it's interesting to think that the capacity of an average human over a couple hours is similar to a large ebike battery!

that would be nice! it’s really ridiculous that big manufacturers like specialized and trek sell these bikes with di2 and then add kludgy power control buttons with extra wires. just lazy.

most likely both, lol. they’re mostly aware of all the issues caused by various combinations of bike version, firmware version, and apps but have deemed it a low priority to fix problems that, left unresolved, might encourage the purchased of new bikes 🤣

it was kind of a m’eh feature for me, i don’t notice a huge difference in shifting but also never had dropped chains once i switched to the wolftooth chainring. so, good results either way, either way!

you might consider running it as low as it goes for a while (agree with leaving a small gap!) and then raising it a few mm every week or two as you get comfortable with the bike, until you reach the more optimum position with nearly full leg extension at bottom of pedaling circle. but no need...
