Help choosing a bike for fun and exercise?

Ride1up is doing overstock sales on ebikes right now. The cheapskate in me is considering a Cafe Cruiser step-thru for a hair over $1000. It could also double as a loaner.

    X-Peak broke spoke

If this X-Peak is your first ebike you'll get your money out of it before wanting something more premium. I love my 2 Lectric ebikes, they survive my laziness for servicing and my abuse of riding them outside their design, but when it comes time for a new one I'll splash out the cash for...

If you need anymore pictures or measurements just ask. I forgot to swap over to centimeters.

    X-Peak broke spoke

I had a broken spoke on my XP 3.0, but it stayed pretty true with said broken spoke. I reached out to Lectric asking the spoke size and they sent me some replacement spokes for free, and they added a section on the website that has spoke size listed. So I had the spoke replaced and the wheel...

8+ months of research, 100s of hours, know what I need & want but can't find it

You should just sign up for Uber and Lyft apps. My friend doesn't have a running car at the moment and that's what he does when needed. He can also borrow my spare car if needed but his pride is strong. Concerning the friends being "friends" I know all to well what you mean. And you mentioned...

Cafe clamp/lock for XP 3.0 folder.

They make cafe locks for fat tire bikes but unless the frame has mounts for one already installed it can be a slight hassle. The XP 3.0 has a great spot for a folding lock located behind the seat post. I use a Foldylock myself but have had bikes with cafe locks as well. IF you go with a cafe...

That approximately 1.25 on the cheap Centec calipers is in inches.

Lectric XP 3.0 step through handle bar diameter @ clamp and stem.

Your XP 3.0 will have the height adjustable stem like my 3.0 had. The picture I posted shows it beyond max. Give me a second......

I don't fully understand you're question but these are the leftovers from my BMX bars conversion, thread below in the same section you posted.

That Helix crash sounded terrible! I love those scooters so much. I bought a Qlink Commuter Helix clone for my wife. Qlink/CFMoto make the "highest quality" products in all of China. That clone lasted 2 years and only had 5000 miles on it when we donated it to a thrift store. Nothing but...

I saw "crashed a Helix 250"! What and how? I've crashed 2 myself but both times were my fault. I've been on the hunt for a Helix so for long I'm about to give up. Either they have silly miles or super low miles, means they've sat for awhile.

If SWYTCH didn't have the "Pay us and we'll build it when enough orders are placed" model I would suggest one of those kits. I would love one for my wife's Rat Fink chopper bike, just for a bit of assist on windy days or slightly longer rides. She can keep her dream bike (yes, she LOVES this...

So you guys (and gals) might be right.

I've owned a bit of everything and discovered that for local runs with my wife, 20" cargo works best. It sucks trying to go to work on it though. I think I spent to much time on 20" wheels and find them not ideal for my 14 mile commute. I'm kinda kicking around the idea of a Euphree Stellar...

    Knee Protection on the Trail

I saw this guy riding a rocket bike with shorts on but he had knee/shin protection. Looked heavy-duty as well. I missed my chance to ask him about the leg protection though at the gas station. It was starting to rain and he was outta there!

8+ months of research, 100s of hours, know what I need & want but can't find it

I like to be able to flat foot sometimes while stopped. I had one of those semi-recumbent style ebikes (E-Lux Malibu GT) and while I could flat foot at a stop I started to really hate the longer wheelbase. Combined with the front shock forks and the suspension post it was horrible over bumps as...

So you guys (and gals) might be right.

So I rode my Swing King Elite swing bike today. Its been forever and it was very pleasant to ride. Obviously it's a 26" wheeled beach cruiser and the bigger wheel ride was a eye opener. Now I'm not so sure I want a 20" for a commuter anymore. I soared over sidewalk cracks that would jar me on...

    Best foldable ebike

The Sinch is a great little folder, just let him know about the weight. I almost purchased a overpriced JackRabbit XG over the weekend. What should have motivated me was it came with a free Kinekt seat post valued at $269.00! I hate those seat post so it wasn't a motivator to me. Oh well, done...
