I didn't realize the 625 wouldn't fit our bikes. I would like to get another battery for next year, I do not want the one that sits on top, though I am sure it would be more convenient. I haven't researched it much yet so thanks for the heads up.

I didn't ride the Vado 5, it might have easily swung me towards Specialized. The Allant was at the top of my comfort range for price. I also really like the look of the stagger frame on the Trek.

I remove my battery to load on my rack. My lbs said they recommend it anyway for transport.

I struggled the same. I truly loved both bikes. I ended up with the trek. Here she is. Still deciding on a name.

I have the Kuat Transfer. I remove the battery from my Allant 7s to reduce the weight. I drive very carefully and it seems secure but I will upgrade to a different rack if my husband gets a bike too. I love my Kuat and my bike rides fine but i know I am at my upper limit.

I have considered that. Do you like the tape? I've never used it . Is it for padding and/or grip?
