No worries, the driver I uploaded earlier fixed my issue entirely. And I paid a mere 15 quid for the cable. Whatever works!

After struggling with getting my Windows 10 PC to properly recognise the programming cable as a USB device and having tried several different older chip drivers, I managed to come across the one driver that solved my issue. Figured I'd upload it for you lot: Download Bafang USB Driver. Enjoy!

Update - I found the driver after doing some more digging! It works now. Give me a shout if anyone needs it.

So I just got the cable and upon connecting, the PC won't seem to recognise it. I installed the XP driver listed here and also installed the universal chip driver from here, but to no avail. I tried connecting/disconnecting and restarting but the tool won't load either one of the 2 COM ports...

I used self-amalgamating tape on the cables i had to re-connect, with some normal tape over that and then tucked into the cable sleeve. Worked pretty well.

Shortened the cable between battery and motor (so only the XT60 connectors are used) and tidied up the cable clutter. Nice and neat.

Yeah, sure, not disputing that.

My guess is it's a bit of both seeing as I'm on quite a big frame with large diameter wheels and the motor and battery add significant weight too. I used to wheelie bikes easily as a kid so I think I can re-learn quickly, but doing it throttle only on this one seems like a bit of a task 😁.

yeah but it's not very different from a modern half decent hardtail mtb to be honest. my concern is what his bbshd settings are like though.

Just wondering how he has the wheel come up so effortlessly , no pedaling or anything. I'm thinking I need some more torque or program the throttle so it kicks in sooner or at higher percentage, I don't know.

As I'm a 6'3, 38 year old child I'd like to mess about and see if I could start learning some throttle wheelies on my newly built emtb 😁. I should receive my programming cable soon, are there any settings I should change bearing this in mind, and what settings/values would be preferable? Here...

Just in case others end up facing this issue - i trimmed the weld down with a dremel I borrowed off someone but only ever so slightly, and mostly in the middle of that bump. All good so far.
