Looking to purchase a barley used CCS - anything I should look out for during test drive?

If it’s only 2 months old it is unlikely to have the spokes issue as that was resolved in the last batch, though it would be good to check the rear wheel for any loose spokes. If the battery holds a full charge, I say go for it. I’ve had mine since March and am also considering selling it as I...

    Car replacement

The last time I put gas in my car was January 10th and I’ve burned 6 gallons since then. Nice having an electric car ( chevy volt) and an Ebike.

    Is e-Biking Cheating?

I do believe in some manner we all have our biases. I live on a popular bike trail and see a couple of (the same) people nearly every day using throttle only and no peddling. While I realize it isn’t illegal, I personally find it a bit annoying on a bike trail.

Any Juggernaut owners in MPLS area?

Just wondering if there are any Juggernaut owners in or around MPLS? I’m thinking of buying either an ultra or FS and would love to ride one first. I already own a commuter Ebike and want a mid drive fat tire bike too. in return you could ride my Juiced CCS.

Have you tried loosening it to see if it is somehow kinked. It’s a long shot, but worth trying.

CCS Owners - What's your current mileage and which items have you had to replace?

Just over 600 miles for me and I’ll probably replace the chain after the riding season. Had my first chain drop this week after hitt a bump on the path.

    Full suspension Ultra bike!

I have been following this thread with interest. After discovering how much fun my Juiced CCS is this spring, I’m thinking of selling my 29’er and fattie to get an e-fattie. Given I want a mid drive for the e-fattie, I’m very interested interested in the Ultra or Ultra FS and look forward to...

    Newbie help in Minnesota

Different route meaning I went with an online retailer instead of local bike shop. I’m around during the day so just let me know if you wish to test ride it.

    Newbie help in Minnesota

I cannot specifically comment on the bikes you mentioned, though you will want to consider battery size and range with the type of riding you will be doing. Especially considering the hills in Duluth. Certainly Erik’s is a reputable bike bike shop and I have purchased traditional bikes from...

Okay, talk me out of cancelling my CCS order

Very fair question and I don’t think Chris meant other bikes aren’t as capable, as obviously some are and some aren’t, just that the CCS has met all of his needs.

Recognition of the extraordinary state of this particular forum and its focal point

@Reid - What a great post and I must say you add as much to this forum as you apparently did to the Model T forum. Folks reading this thread, click on the link Reid provided, very interesting. I find it interesting (sad) how some have made personal attack’s against Tora saying he is a bad...

    Soup to Nuts

I’m going to a concert tomorrow evening and am going to commute on the CCS. While MPLS doesn’t have what i would call dangerous areas, this concert is in an area of petty crime with a higher chance of theft. I’ll lock the rear with a U-Lock and the front with the foldy lock. If they get...

Okay, talk me out of cancelling my CCS order

While its sometimes hard to interpret intent with written words, your response to Asher seems a bit condescending. Hopefully that wasn’t your intent.

    Responding to bike-on-ebike harassment

One of the things I learned years ago as a consultant working with some difficult clients is “ I cannot control their behavior, I can only control how I react to it”. I believe this can be applied almost daily in our personal life. While a totally different scenario, I think it can apply. This...

CCS : Any suggestion for water bottle holder?

I bought (Link Removed - No Longer Exists) from Amazon and mounted it on the top tube. You need to mount it forward enough so as not to interfere with stand over height. It has worked well for me and doesn’t move unless you bump it with your hand or leg. .
