Ariel Quality and Service - Read before you buy

Agreed. Gotta love fake accounts to troll a forum thread. Have you seen their website? No physical address. This is a red flag. No 1-800 toll free number. Another red flag. Looks like a one man show that resells aliexpress bikes as their own brand.

HELP - Messed up my Vado SL 4.0 after trying to change rear tire.

Good move. It's your expensive ebike, and up to you to save it properly. If you break your ebike with advice from the internet, then oops!

Added rack, trouble getting on/off bike...

The OP's photo is very clear: the pannier rack accessory is factory fabricated by welds and it is one solid piece. This is all the black parts of the rack, not the chrome horizontal parts which are always adjustable by fasteners. I believe you may be confused with a "rack" that is welded...

Added rack, trouble getting on/off bike...

Not if the rack is a single piece weld with no height adjustment. Racks are sold in different sizes for respective tire diameters. Unadjustable racks are also the strongest in weight bearing loads. A pannier rack can't be hacked to any location on a bike. There are distinctive holes for it...

The ultimate bike saddle for the sensitive male

Exactly. That's why it didn't make any sense at all to even think about "less cost". Don't buy a car if you think the gas is too expensive...

    Bar mount mirror for e-bike

Agreed. The "Mirrycle Mirror" is much less obstructive than any silly strap-on mirror. I buy one of these for each of my regular bikes. For those that do not want to cut out hand grips, there are plenty of aftermarket grips that reveal the bar opening. Overall, even the most fancy grips are...

The ultimate bike saddle for the sensitive male

Maybe, but for the OP, the cost of having fun and enjoying their ebike was worth it.

What's the Blue Book Sales Price of your Bike? Am I asking/paying too much?

Like many things on the "internets", take it with a grain of salt. When a buyer really wants something, they either pay for it, or don't and forget about it. Confident dealers/flippers will pretty much ignore a buyer's price match plea on some website.

The ultimate bike saddle for the sensitive male

Why not? It makes the call wheter the rider rides their bike with as much fun as possible, or stores their bike in the garage forever.

Added rack, trouble getting on/off bike...

Agreed. It's amazing how often folks buy things on the pretense of showing it off to others, yet at the cost of their own discomfort, buy hey, at least they look cool :D

Added rack, trouble getting on/off bike...

The LBS did nothing wrong and this is a correct install. A panier rack accepts its maximum load when it is horizontally flat, the arms fastening to the frame/seatpost are as long as they need to be.

Pulled the triger on the Aspen+, all is well

Similarly, the Thule Tour Rack also attaches to stays/forks without fasteners to the frame.

HELP - Messed up my Vado SL 4.0 after trying to change rear tire.

In my opinion, ebikes are "costly" things, you are currently in the progress of breaking it. Your LBS will charge a fraction of the costs of your bike.

    My Aspen +

This is normal operation and cannot be changed. You dare to leave it unattended? If you really must take that chance, leaving the battery on the bike also allows the thief to ride away happy with it.

    Resale Values of e-Bikes

But folks that buy a Movelo mountain bike from Walmart for $89 don't think about resale value. When someone convinces themselves "I'll buy this Ford because it has great resale value" is merely making the dealership happy.

    Resale Values of e-Bikes

Folks with money do what they do best: buy stuff on impulse. The pandemic has made and still is making people just "try something for fun". They buy a Trek because it has to be in par with the rest of their trophies. They get bored of it, and move onto something else they can spend money on...

    Resale Values of e-Bikes

The thing about "resale value" pretty much goes with everything, not just ebikes: Don't buy an item thinking it must keep value after time. It's not a brick of gold you buy and leave stashed away for a rainy day. Your return on investment will be on usage, the amount of true value and purpose...
