Pet trailer attachment on XP 2.0 step-thru?

Bought a couple of cheap but excellent stroller/trailers a few months back, the mounting post fits fine on my XP 2.0 st. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RD89GFC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

My 1000w motor journey and fear mongering by users of the forum!

It seems the original thread starter doesn't understand the concept of power. "500w" or "1000w" are not very relevant claims. Just take your battery voltage and multiply it by the maximum current your controller can output and that will give you the total number of Watts. my Lectric is 48v and...

Noise from rear hub when going 21mph+

I don't doubt your experience but what is it that goes wrong with the bikes you've worked on? It's just a generic 7-speed bicycle, like a hundred million others. Nothing exotic so a bit heavier than, say, carbon fiber, but on our two Step-through bikes the brakes and shifter work flawlessly...

My nightmarish experience with Rad Power.

Pretty impressive battery fire. I guess the problem was that it was impossible to get the cooling water inside the pack, where it could have stopped the progression from cell to cell. Had to laugh at the comment about the LBS trashing Lectric bikes. Yeah, like they don't get any commission on...

Noise from rear hub when going 21mph+

Okay, I've tried to hear what you're talking about, and at top speed all I hear is the high pitch of the motor gearset--and a rapid clicking, which is about the speed of the rotating wheel. My assumption at this point is that the brake rotor is touching the pad. Is this clicking the noise...

    XPremium tannus armour inserts

I've done Slime in the past, but there are YouTube videos out that show FlatOut is like Slime 2.0, with superior sealing and handling properties. We've put FlatOut in both our XP 2.0 st bikes but it's only been 6 months. Nonetheless, tires are perfect so far.

Are there authorized Lectric repair operations (stores or mobile)?

Our XP 2.0 st bikes are extremely ordinary in terms of bicycle components, but I suspect bike shops sniff at them because they get totally cut out of any purchase profits. Not sure what a mobile van could accomplish except maybe educate the bike shops and provide exposure. But perhaps there...

    11/28 cassette

We installed 11-34 freewheels (not "cassettes"--these are one-piece assemblies) and love the difference at both ends. The 34 really comes in handy for non-motor situations, and installs without any chain lengthening or limit adjustments, though the "B Limit" screw needs to be turned all the way...

    Disabling PAS on turns

Got two of the XP 2.0 st bikes last Christmas. It only took one day for me to conclude that PAS wasn't ready for prime time and disabled it completely. Now we ride a very smooth 7-speed bicycle that just happens to have a 1-hp electric motor attached, controlled perfectly by the twist...

    Yes! Handlebars moved closer!

The only practical limit on how far to move the handlebars back is that you need room to stand astride the bike with your feet on the ground and not have the handlebars pressed into your abdomen. We found the ideal position to be with the stem facing rearwards but then the handlebars shifted 2"...

Lectric finally selling a larger battery for to 1 and 2.0.

Terrific news. As for alternative sources, there are YouTube websites that have tested a great many 18650 cells and discovered that many Chinese-sourced cells are absolute junk, with actual ratings far below the claimed number. I seem to recall that LG, Sony, Panasonic are trusted brands, but...

    Espin Flow display unreadable

I would have thought that a color display would be nice, didn't realize that they were often difficult to read. The two Lectric XP 2.0 bikes we got last Christmas have large monochrome displays that are easily visible in sunlight. The more I read about other bikes the more I'm impressed with...

Will XP2.0 load through Subaru Outback rear hatch?

After we bought our two XP 2.0 st bikes for last Christmas, I discovered we still had an old beefy receiver-mount bike rack, and I've figured out how to hang the two bikes from that. So folding is not necessary for us to move the bikes. That said, I've found that once folded, all you need to...

    Tubes & Tires - Where/what to purchase

Lots of experience in my youth changing flats. Bought two of the XP 2.0 st bikes last Christmas, was advised by comments here and elsewhere to use "FlatOut," which some videos show as superior to the other stuff. So far so good. I also carry a patch kit, a tiny CO2 quick-inflate valve and...

Getting What You Need From a Cycling GPS

We bought two Lectric ebikes for Christmas last year and love them. They are the XP 2.0 step-thru models and have been customized with an 11-34 freewheel (major improvement), seat suspension, foldylock, smartphone holder, 5v USB port, and a slick folding metal basket on the rear rack. Great...

    Cadence sensor/no-pedal mod ?

Wait a sec, why not just drop in a different freewheel? One of the first things we did to our XP2.0st bikes was to install an 11-34 freewheel. Changes the personality of the bike completely, and you're not pedaling like a zombie at higher speeds. Cheap fix.

Is there any way to get USB power out of the Creo battery?

https://electricbikereview.com/forums/threads/5v-usb-port-on-handlebars.46787/ Works great, minimal current drain.

Lectric Xp 2.0 battery for recent bikes

Our experience with Lectric has been very positive. We bought two of the step-throughs just before Christmas 2021, and have ridden the heck out of them over the past six months. Any phone interactions with the HQ folks have been first-rate, and when we compare the features on these bikes to the...
