    Extending Battery Life

We generally get the most out of our first bar and then average about 8 miles or so a bar after. Our record was 54 miles on Erie Canal trail so, some paved some not but mostly level. Something we really like on our display is that it has 5 bars of motor usage, the less it lights up the more...

    Carrying spare battery

I have drop down panniers on our trunk packs. The weight of the battery and bouncing a lot was what I needed to address. I found a dense foam that I cut pieces to set in the bottom so that the battery wasn't pressing directly on pannier material and possibly wear. I then ran a long strip of...

    Sad about last two rides.....

Our throttle has come in handy for a couple of dog incidents! Also we have definitely run into rudeness and it can sometimes lead to very close calls. Everyone needs to be aware but that is simply not the case. I bought an electric siren for bicycles, it's not loud but when the bell is ignored...

New brake pads don't stop that well

Loosen the caliper mounts, squeeze and hold the brake lever while you tighten the caliper back down. This should center the caliper and improve the braking.

Obscured car plate issue with bike racks

Not sure about the license plate but I did mount stop and turn lights on my rack with a trailer connector. I just feel safer knowing the guy behind me knows what I'm doing.

    Buying Ebikes On-the-Cheap

Xtreme has an extended lifetime warranty program for $150 per bicycle. It even includes tubes and tires! Batteries are covered 100 percent the first 12 months and then are prorated for the next 40 months or so. I have decided to go forward with this warranty as even a few tires will pay for it...

    Music on my bike

My wife and I both have Bluetooth speakers on our trunk bags and they are paired so they have a great stereo sound depending on how we are positioned! We love Pandora

Click feel and sound after free wheeling

Might sound funny but check your spokes too. Try wd40 on all the points that the spokes touch each other and see if it goes away.

    Hitch rack ground clearance

I have very low clearance on our Chrysler Pacifica and I use that style rack. It has scraped a couple times but nothing really major. I've learned to strategically drive at an angle when there is a sharp driveway entrance or elevation change. by hitting it at an angle it starts one side raising...

    Mounting and dismounting

we bought what they are calling "mid" step through models. I am only 5'2" and 50 years old with muscular dystrophy. My wife uses the step through more whereas I swing my leg over. However I have had a mishap with catching the trunk bag while swinging leg over. My problem is my mind is still...
