Looks like Honda took inspiration from the 90s Trek Y22 and the Gary Fisher Joshua Mountain bikes.

Saw that earlier. The Rotwild carbon frame should keep weight down but it sure looks bulky/heavy

with the World Cup Downhill winning gearbox bike back in 2007 I think. Races it from 2003 to 07 or 08 won several races including the worlds.

Timing is interesting. Bike is actually built by Rotwild with a new gen Shimano motor I think.

Yep, Gen 3 Shimano. Bumped to 100nm I believe, and is a tad lighter.

Are Honda dealers going to sell and service them, or are they going to send the owners to bike shops? Because that's exactly what's happening to the current crop of e-motos.

No idea yet. Yamaha tried going through Yamaha motorsports dealers here in Canada. Didn't work out too well as you know.
