Turbo Vado not switching on

Ok the plot thickens, lol. Seriously I just wanted to pass this info along.

My 2022 Vado 4.0 that I bought in March of 2022 (so very early) mastermind definitely does not have a battery in it as per the LBS mechanic (who I trust) but the "newer" mastermind does have a (non replaceable) battery. He has taken them apart before and seen both configurations.
My mastermind and remote control is being replaced. It's not under warranty anymore but my LBS says that Specialized will likely discount the part or maybe even cover it.
Specialized gave me 50% off the parts. I am out of warranty so I do appreciate it. My first ride is tonight and it's 14 degrees fahrenheit (wind chill 5) so we'll see how it holds up .

Weather here is now in the upper 70s and I have ridden the Vado almost every single day over the past 4 months. Bike is 100% fine with no issues whatsoever.

The issue seems to have resurfaced for me. When I switch on TMC it flickers on long enough for me to see battery is at 75% then switches off. I was convinced it was just a dirty connection so cleaned both batteries and connector in frame and sprayed WD40. No luck. Anybody got an update on this issue?

Specialized are rowing back from offering a free battery for my friend, it failed 2 weeks out of warranty, but was at a Specialized dealer for those two weeks
They want half now..

A thousand pound battery that fails at two years old, has been treated faultlessly while my 750wh Hailong battery is still working 7 years from purchase and has been abused beyond belief.

My Vado has been fine for the past two years when it wouldn't switch on and I started this thread. Good luck.

Did you try to charge the Mastermind TCU with a USB C? A MM TCU bicycle will not start if the TCU charge is too low. Normal operation is the TCU is charged with the main battery but if it's been sitting it for months may need a boost. If you have a classic TCU, it with a coin cell battery, it will start with a long press but a MM will not.
