Mirror recommendation

On the Allroad, I use a Hafny stainless folding bar end mirror. Everyone knows about them, so no need to elaborate. On the Dogma X, I use The Italian Road Bike Mirror on the left side drop bar end. It's very small, with excellent clarity. If you get one, tape it in position with electrical tape before wrapping the bars with bar tape.

There are cheaper clones out there, but this is the original, and is of very high quality. Mine is over ten years old and still looks great.
Thanks for the suggestion, but this type of mirror will not work for me as the bike has bar-end shifters.

As it turned out, I retrieved (temporarily) my Salsa FatBike from no. 1 son as it needs a new brake cable fitted. That bike had a Zefal Spy mirror on it, which I have now acquired for the Surly. It works a treat, so problem solved for now.

I will have to sort the fatbike out in due course, but that is an easier problem to solve as it has a Jones H-Bar.

or a Zefal Spy mirror?

the Spy can be mounted "anywhere" with the mounting strap, so also next te shifter on the lower part of the drops. With the CNC-ed part from Avaghon you could mount a mirror in between the shifter and the HB.

For me a mirror is a must for safety sake. I have tried many bicycle mounted mirrors but my body, jacket or something gets in the way so a helmet mounted mirror works the best for me. Yes they are hard to get used to but once you get accustomed to it they are the cat's meow.
