In principle I'm against bailouts...
But if you can justify giving them to financial institutions that are often at the rotten core of a shit_show... I'm perfectly OK with giving them to a business that actually produces a product.
An auto manufacturer is a lot harder to replace than a bank.. and with imports, it may be near impossible.

Electric everything powered by fusion, complete automation of transport, robots and 'replicators' creating our every need.
Everyone given an 'income' for free, social status based on character.

Elimination of crime by panoptica, being stunningly attractive reduced to a choice.

To me it really just strips away the barriers between us and the abject horror of existence

Tbh attractive by choice is here already, all around us there are people who have rebuilt their faces and bodies, its not just the famous.
