Next it is a matter of trimming the speed sensor wire. That is easy there is just 3V positive, negative, and a white signal wire. They each get sealed in 2mm heat shrink tube and then 1/4 marine grade goes over the outside and it gets tucked into the secret compartment and the cover plate goes on. Oh, I lied. I did need to use two zip ties to attach the speed sensor. Let's call that the exception that proves the rule. I am loving that indent on the right chainstay. I will not have any chainring clearance issues and can use spacers between the ring and spider to further bring in the chainline. Come to think of it, those two black zip ties on the chainstay look like racing stripes and match.

The tires that arrived are not 50's, these are 57's!!! It will fit the front fork but the chainstay might be iffy. It is right there. If it works, that would be badass.
Nope,I did another check another way. It currently has 40's. That difference is 17mm. 17/2 is 8.5. I then set the calliper to 8.5 and added that to one side of the existing tire. There is no way. I need 47's. I will keep these for my mountain bike because I often use it on the road and gravel and it has a drop bar.

Just put a matching dimple on the inside of the chain stay with a lump hammer

I'm surprised that you didn't run a zip tie through that chainstay boss, instead of wrapping the chainstay with two zip ties.

I concur.
I'd even use some spiral wrap to bundle it with the shift cable and tuck it under and behind the chainstay

I love it. There is a tool for making dimples. A guy used one in an early TS installation video. It uses a screw to press a divot.

It takes two zip ties and a backing of silicone tape so on the rough stuff the pickup doesn't move from alignment. I don't need a speedo or OD but clients expect them. I sometimes will mix custom paint to help hide a necessary zip tie, But, this color called carmel would be hard. It is a really cross between newborn diaper and gray poop-on. The marketing team thought to call it something more pleasant. How does @Gionnirocket do his animations; they are great. Very funny.
I finished the wiring and it turns On. That means that I can start programing the like 150 things to tune it to the client's needs. Then I will install the chainring spacers and the chainring lockring. Note: The drive side lock ring is reverse thread. The difference between 40's and 57's is 17. 17/2 is 8.5. I took an 8mm crank bolt wrench and put it against the 40 tire. It passes the chainstays. I will try the 57's but will need to install the rear wheel deflated, get the thru-axle in and then pump it. If I could pull off the 57's it would be totally badass on this bike. There would be no clearance for a pebble or stick, so it could lock up. The owner is like 100 pounds and will do mostly road and some light gravel trails. She is a seasoned roady in her 70's and has a high-end eBike in her stable. She is about 5'2".

Same here. Too bad your speed sensor doesn't have a screw boss. Nothing wrong with zip ties, though.

On both of my production bikes, the speed sensor is mounted at the end of the NDS chainstay, and the magnet is part of the centerlock locknut.

Other than programing this is all I can do today. The bullbar and some other things arrive tomorrow, such as the tubes. I can pick up on it Saturday. Friday I will be working on our 4th annual lighted bike ride all day. We are expecting around 750 lighted bikes. Lowriders come from Santa Rosa and tow huge speakers. We will have an escort of seven police motorcycles to block intersections and leapfrog around the riders to block upcoming intersections. It will be very lightly misting a mild fog and that will play with the lights.

It turns out that I had a presta 29'er tube. I had to try. It looks great. It rolls but it rubs at the red marker. I ordered 50's and they sent 57's. I will bet that there are a bunch of holiday temps doing order processing. I will order the right tires after the first of the year. The owner is good with keeping the original 40's until then. She is super excited.

Thanks. I need a new SD card somehow it spring-loaded flew out and vanished. I will show a photo when I get a new one later today. I rotated the display down over the top cap of the steer tube at the stem and added a brass bell. It looks much better.

I'm not a fan of using drop bar shifters on bullhorn bars. I'd rather see cross levers on the tops for the brakes, and bar end shifters. But if that what the customer wants, so be it.

I've thought about adding cross levers to my drop bar bike with 105 cable disc brakes but the tectro RL720 description states for caliper or cantilever. Do you see a reason they wouldn't work well for cable disc brakes?

Cable disc brakes still use a caliper.
