Dima, from what I read you get a 5 day visa to cross 500 km in Turkmenistan, sandy roads, no water, maybe no electricity en route? ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO MAKE IT?

6 day visa, excursion program, hotel, escorting, Turkmenistan it is not a desert))))))) but costs a bit weird!) about 1600 usd for single cyclist) for more persons costs should be less ) that is why I decided to choose bypass ( Afghanistan)

One Belarusian has completed recently the trip in Afghanistan ( part of the trip was in Afghanistan) , it is safe . So I don't have any worries.

Anyway, I came to post 'Itchy Boots', this isnt about ebikes, just a human travelling the same dream on a motorbike.
She is an incredibly popular Dutch adventurer who rides and documents the world.
She is in Tajikistan, next to Afghanistan, which is a hot topic in the US.
This video is probably the most incredible solo trip by a female I have ever seen, the trail and the scenery is beyond belief and her interactions with peoples who live in these remote areas are so honest and human in smashes a lifetime of western bias.
She is stuck until locals divert the river, she lost all her documents on the trail and had them returned by locals.
It warms my heart and blows my mind.

Very challenging riding conditions. I find the contrast of the small green village against the stark, rugged landscape just amazing.

Dima is a Belarussian He would have more issues to ride into Poland.

The view from a Poland's Białowieża forest towards the Belarussian border (the exclusion zone), the 6th of September 2025. On those days, the Belarussian border was totally closed.

You were not allowed to approach the border closer than that.
