interesting to see if these would end up on the consumer market

A friend who worked at a high end bike shop always called S-Works "dentist cycles" because like 75% of the people buying them were rich dentists. Brembo brakes are perfect for that demographic, their bike can match their other mid-life-crisis-on-wheels!
After spending years in other peoples' mouths, I think dentists deserve a tricked out S-works Tarmac with red Brembos, don't you?

My plumber deserves one, too. And after our last plumbing adventure, he should be getting pretty close.

I am not sure this collab will ever get past MTB. I think it’s even downhill only right now? they look crazy heavy.

They look like pretty standard 4 piston brakes. Shimano SLX calipers or older Codes. I wouldn't be all that surprised if they were basically rebadged Shimanos or something, with a red coat of paint and the Brembo name on it.

A quick search says yeah, downhill brake system:
Does look like an in house project. Specialized branding because they are sponsoring the spec DH team. I didn't realize that Brembo acquired Öhlins last year, who are very well regarded in the mtb suspension space. So maybe this represents a serious push into bike components.

Nothing more demanding on brakes than DH MTB. If they ever hit the market it will be interesting to see how people think they perform compared to established players.

They’re the ones with shotgun shells in their seat posts, Pedal… ;) It’s known as an “ejection seat” in the trade!
So when you use your bike key that is what cocks the hammer? At least hemorrhoids would no longer be a problem! Three cell mates were discussing their specialties. The guy without an A55 said, I was a bike thief.

Hard to say. It’s a stealthy “keep off my bike, thief. You’re gonna’ regret it” kind of protection device. Kinda’ messy too. :D

Okay, obviously I am joking. But it would be fun to plant bikes around town with hidden cameras and to have them set-up with glitter bombs. So the thief is covered. It could also release a supper stink that is engineered with only one special antidote, so it lasts for days. An accelerometer would be good enough. Someone did this with porch packages. You and I had our brake discussion earlier. This is a sidebar note, not a high-jacking of this thread.

Both Ohlins and Brembo are well regarded in the motorcycle industry as well.
