Vado SL 2 Alloy version released

Second vote for the speedrockers have them on my Vado SL for over 4 years now plus another bike before that. Excellent. Never got on with the raceblades however.

SKS Speedrocker fenders will NOT fit your tyres (these are for 42 mm max). SKS was making temporary fenders for 700x47 tyre size but a brief lookup at SKS Germany website proves no appropriate temporary mudguards are available now.

(Other guys trying answering your question still think in the Vado SL 1, 38-42 mm tyre terms).

Well, I did my research...

ok, EU, both Rose-versand (I am from the paper catalogue genertion ;D) and Mantel ship to France.

would be the easiest way.

Anyone tried the Cannondale Tesoro Neo Carbon 1 or 2? Seems like a similar/updated bike to the Vado SL 1. Better motor and frame, but no suspension. Bosch Sprint motor.

No experience, but the Carbon 1 specs suggest a pretty direct Vado SL 1 competitor worth a test ride if you're in that market.

Yeah. Pretty lightweight too.
Since so many of the things I love about my SL 1 revolve around how it feels in action — especially the responsiveness — probably best to test how both bikes feel first-hand rather than go on specs alone.

No plans to part with my SL but wouldn't mind testing a Tesoro Carbon just to see the difference.

The thing about lightweight bikes like the SL1 is range anxiety is virtually non existent unless you live in a very hilly area.
Agree, but pretty hilly here and still no range anxiety at up to 41 mi on the main battery alone.

Of course, that depends a lot on riding habits. Longest SL ride to date, no RE:

The 1.6%/mile battery drain is pretty typical for moderate climbing (here, 51 ft of gain per mile). Assist usage is also typical, and I'm by no means a strong rider.

As usual with RideWithGPS, the reported max grades are probably underestimated by a few percent.

What does it weigh? I have not looked at it, but its geometry looks like the riding position might be more leaned over, more like a road bike than the SL. Shorter stack and longer reach. And the shorter trail indicates it might be more nimble and quick-steering. Kind of goes along with their "Born from racing" marketing slogan.
Stack (size large): Cannondale = 633mm ... SL2 = 656mm
Reach (size large): Cannondale = 401mm ... SL2 = 430mm
Trail (size large): Cannondale = 62mm ... SL2 = 85mm
