Where has the ocean gone???

When our ocean goes away, it comes back in a tsunami. Hope yours came back gently.

The young kids (maybe 3-4 y/o) were obviously getting antsy, and he was doing his best to keep them calm. Shortening that experience was perfect.

A nice evening at the waterfront. Watched seals playing in the surf just off the beach and the heron who hangs out on top of an old piling in between hunting trips over by the ferry dock.

During a ride on Pennsylvania's Pine Creek Trail this week, I noticed a gas well being drilled adjacent to the trail & creek.

I suppose it was bound to happen eventually, since this portion of North Central PA sits on top of the gas rich Marcellus Shale formation.

It's a shame really. Pine creek is one of the cleanest, most pristine waterways in the state, and I certainly hope that won't change.

Anyway, It's been a wet spring and the ride was pleasant with the trailside waterfalls flowing freely.

Got out for a quickie this afternoon around 3pm in between showers. Haven't ridden for two weeks.
Blasted out to the sports field in Surrey.
On the way I saw some flora. Notice the busy bee about 2 thirds of the way down on the right...



Was surprised to see mixed league flag football...



Another field. This time training for pole vault!



Glad I got out to stretch my legs...

It's about 2 feet long.

It was just laying there in the middle of the road, so I had to shoe it off into the grass after the pictures.

I was going to stop to use the John, but I was afraid I'd get locked in.

On Saturday night we had our company party celebrating 40 years in business! Great party! After setting up the PA, organizing things, then having fun, and tearing it all down I was pretty tired.
Next morning had a few things to do, but as tired as I was I wanted to take advantage of the great weather.
So... off for a short ride to Mud Bay again...

What a day!



Unbelievably, the Nemesis lakes are completely gone, yay! They must have been pumped out. Can't believe how dry it is now...

I got tired of the cheap tag-along bike it had too much wobble. I found the Burley on Craigslist and its so much better. it comes with its own rack. granddaughter loves it she was so excited and kept begging for a ride.
