You are free to own and ride a cheap ebike. It sounds like it suits your purpose.
Others, including myself have purposes that require greater range, better handling, lighter weight, good brakes, a good range of gears, decent build quality and basically a better bike.
It seems that you are looking at e-bikes through a narrow lens.
