Protecting the display from scratches.

Has anyone use anything to protect the display from scratches? Maybe clear paint protection vinyl film, helicopter tape, cut cell phone tempered glass. I don't want to risk scratches but also don't want to damage the original screen if the protection used needs to be removed.

I used VViViD 3M Paint Protection Vinyl File to protect the head tube paint from the cables rubbing. I could use it on the display just don't want to damage the original screen.

Years ago, back in the days of the PalmPilot, I was looking through the clearance shelves of a CompUSA and found a couple of boxes of screen protectors for said PalmPilot. I didn't have a PP but they were marked down to something like $0.25 each and figured I didn't have anything to lose so picked up a couple. I think there were 10 or so protectors in each box and they were big enough to cut up and put on watches, camera screens, etc. I used them on all kinds of electronics.

I would think something like that or even clear packing tape would suffice.

I find almost no need to clean the display. I'll be coming up on 4 year ownership of my first Haibike, no issues with the display visibility.

The displays often get scratched when someone turns the bike upside down to service a wheel. I duct tape a towel around them or loosen/rotate them if I am going to flip the bike. A towel on the ground usually slips.

Don't lay a bike down on a Bosch display. The Intuvia has two incredibly thin plastic strips that slide over some tabs in the base. Our son crashed my Full Seven and sheared both of those strips off. Very minor compared to his broken rib though!
