Whew, I almost ordered without checking and yes, like you, a cadence sensor is a deal breaker for me.
I recently purchased a eco-trick bison of Amazon it shipped from California I'm in Venice Beach got the bike put it together wrote it but the battery might have been not fully charged which obviously probably wasn't but needless to say came home charged it and the display didn't come on nothing so I opened up the box plugged and unplugged all the wires the display came on now the motor doesn't work. Smh. 😠😠😠😠😠

make sure the brakes levers aren't loose. There are switches in them that inhibit the motor if they're activated.
DEAD Batteries! Bought the OSLO e-bikes from Kohls last fall and tried to get them running this spring but no dice. The batteries are totally dead and a young friend took the case apart and could not find a way to revitalize them. Are there any replacement batteries available (Huffy refuses to answer requests from me) ?

It is a standard 36V rack-pack. Just go to eBay or Amazon. It doesn't matter if the connectors are different. You can chop those off and use automotive crimp/shrink connectors. Before you connect them slide a length of marine shrink tube over the wires. After the crimp/shrink connections are finished, slide the tube up and shrink it with a hair dryer or heat gun. Get the battery far from the bike.
I am an old guy that made the jump to e-bikes to keep riding (and keep up with folks riding plain bikes). I still ride 10 to 12 mph for 40 miles, but I don't fall miles behind after a series of hills. About half the time I use zero boost. I ride about 1000 miles a year.
I am trying to slow up my bike because of the trails I ride The bike is a fat tire mid drive 44 tooth Bafang 510. I can not buy just the outer ring that has the teeth just the whole sprocket. I can only find the 40 teeth chainring made for a narrow tire. I am thinking about buying it and changing the outer ring I am sure they have the same hole pattern? They both have 5 spoke patterns and look the same?

Hi - I have an Izip E3 Metro. The BMS needs to be replaced. The Izip battery charger has 3 wires. I would like to replace with a standard 2 wire charger. Also, there are 3 wires from the BMS to the controller. Where do I find a replacement BMS that has 3 wires to the contoller?

Thank you.

You won’t.

Google, izip e3 metro replacement battery
Nice writeup on the battery pack in your Hydra thread. Let me know if you build any for sale. How expensive are spot welders and finding BMS?
Hello ebike enthusiasts ! New for this summer - i added liquid cooling to my 3000 - 12000watt 96v 80 mph QS rear hubdrive motor ! and it has worked flawlessly!

Have a weird electrical noise from rear Hub? Hub still works but draging and making a funny noise on throtte up? It most likely the controller has overheated and blown one or more capacitors ! they are easy to identify as blown, they will be bulging outward or burnt or the plastic wrapping melted away , they can be easily replaced if one has basic electronic skills - are cheap to buy new -
Averaging 50 miles a day between the Stromer and Soul Fast Sonic Cruiser. Waiting on delivery of a Juggernaut Ultra Duo 3 before leaving for the summer rigging concert venues. I was going to replace the Stromer with a Dost Kope but had to cancel that order after I got the gig work as I would not be home to take delivery when they ship in late June-August.
Hi, there,
since Krasnodar fixed the problem with your engine, I guess they sent you v3 of the x1tool?
Could you please send it to me?
Thanks
I have a Bulls Iconic EVO TR1 Speed and the frame is currently cracked, same spot as yours.
The warranty communication has been sparse from Bulls, 2-3 months
to manufacture a new frame. Then I assume pay someone to swap out all the parts, and the does it just crack again, is it safe?
Expect more from German premium priced manufacturer trying to establish their brand in the US market.

I was able to add a third-party mount for the Varia so I could have a tool/tube pouch under the seat and not have it block the Varia or have it at an angle where it would be less effective in detecting an approaching vehicle.

No light is as effective as having something on the pedals that are going up and down as motorists approach.

I agree tail lights and radar warning systems can be helpful and provide some degree of confidence. I would advice against some of the very powerful LED strobes. They cause visual flare at night that is distracting and makes it difficult for a driver to judge speed and distance.

I just received the Cygolite Hypershot from Amazon...bright is an understatement. At 350 Lumens this thing is a frigging lighthouse! I am actually concerned with blinding drivers coming up from behind.

On this post / page 10, the reverse table that is posted,
on the 40kph there is posted 22,
should this be 2421 instead of 22?

Hi doing you have any derestricting tuners that would work on ebikemotion mahle motors in the United States for removing the 20 & 28mph speed limit ? Thanks for your time.
At the ripe old age of 72, I just purchased a Velotric Discover 1 last week. I've only ridden it about 10 miles or so, but I think I'm in love. Why, Velotric? It was rated #1 for Class 2 e-bikes by Consumer Reports; the guy at the store, who' has been selling only e-bikes and scooters for the past 26 years said it was without a doubt the best e-bike that he has ever sold.
