Yamaha battery not reaching expected range?

T

that doesn’t sound right. I can go 57 miles on a 500wh battery always using the 2 highest settings for 3.5 hours with an elevation gain of 3,000 feet. Starting at 90% (I don’t charge above 90%) and going down to 30% gets me 42 miles. The next 25% gets me 15 miles = 57 miles total. I’ve never used my battery below 5%. I hope this helps
Oski: Battery range depends on so many factors we simply cannot say "that doesn't sound right". The major difference is the rider him/herself. My max range on a 500 Wh battery with Yamaha PW-X2 ridden in two low assist modes was some 40 miles; you can ride for 57 miles at the conditions you describe. My brother could ride for 75 miles and still was left with 23% battery. It is all down to the rider's leg input.

Thanks Stefan. Yamahonian, are you still just getting 28 miles out of your battery?
