Three wires come off my electric throttle are they hot neutral and ground? They aren't even the same color as the ones they connect to .

I ran over the connector , had to cut em off now I need six connections because I need to splice a piece in solder it , heat shrink and bla blah

Is this a three wire throttle originally? For a three wire throttle you have
Power (about 4.5 volts)
SIgnal (varies from .8V up to 4 volts when throttle is turned).
Ground

Power and Ground are often red and black. SIgnal is often white or blue. I'm looking at two controllers on my desk right now, and those are the colors. The part that you ran over, you just make sure the original colors will line up after you repair them. If you weren't paying attention, then you better open up the heat shrink and check.

Your kit should use a unique connector for the throttle too, so it should all match.

Thanks for your response, yes it is a three wire originally, and you are also correct on the special Jack with the kit, I had an error code 8 before this ,throttle communication or something , so I was inspecting pulled that damaged three wire connector apart, the one coming from throttle , and one of the three pins was bent over inside connector, when I lifted it it simply snapped off making it useless. So I can try to find another niffty little three wire connector , but I still need to splice in a lengthing piece 3 to 5 inches , to match harness , so I may as well just hardwire it ,then seal it real well with shrinktube and zip ties. One more question, if my magnetic plate on crank is too close to sensor will it make throttle only mode on computer display inoperative as well,. Or just pas mode? Thanks

Welcome to China made devices! Often black and red are brown and green. Nuts.

Get one of these, cut it in half and splice the ends to your wiring harness:

44376

It provides the slack you need and gives you the ability to disconnect when necessary.

No no no nothing seems to work still error 10 and the only thing powering up is the display

I had forgotten about those Bafang plugs. Almost $5 less on ebay, but you have to wait about 6 weeks. I've got one controller that's all Bafang connectors except for the PAS, so I ordered one off ebay to clean up that cable..

Back to Stibbs, most kit problems are bad connectors, or poorly seated connectors. The good connectors, like these round ones, often are not fully seated, while the terminals/pins fall out of the JST's.Good luck with yours.

I don't know that you can put the magnet disk too close to the pedal sensor on these simple kits, as long as it isn't scraping. You do need to orient the disk and the head of the sensor correctly. This is not obvious on many kits.
Well I've got them absolutely as tight as they are ever going to be so if they aren't connecting now they never will, so I may as well build a whole new freaking harness with something different and substancial wires not the ones as small as strands of hair, so I'm stuck may as well make something work cause this communication issue is not good those 8 pin connectors are to damn small and bend to easy would love to try another new harness but try finding the exact one or close , good luck , least if I make one it's going to be connected where it should be ,vthen if it still ain't working then I know it's not my wiring

To get help, you should identify what you're working on. Most of us thought you had a kit, but I noticed you're posting in the Pedego forum? That's a dealer issue if this is new. Can't help if no one knows what it is or what's wrong.

Error codes, hardware, etc, all differ between the various makes and models of bikes and kits. You have to identify as much as you can. Good luck.
