Where can I buy a Cube SUV Hybrid SL 27.5 in the US?

I don't mind purchasing online. Where can I buy this? I love the concept of cadence control via Nuvinci/Bosch setup. Why is it so hard to find? Would I have to import this bike and how do I go about doing that? Please help!

Hi Moonshine

Motostrano has been in business 14 years and selling ebikes for 5 or 6 of those years. We have 2 stores to serve you here in the SF Bay Area and we ship Cube bikes nationwide.

Thanks for your interest in Cube! We have a wide supply of the Cubes in stock at the moment. The SUV model you ask about is sold out for the year. We had a few of them at the beginning of the year. I do recommend trying out the Nuvinci/Bosch set-up prior to committing for sure that you want to go that route. I personally find them offering too little control and not enough cadence to support the power of the motor and the hub.

If you have any questions you can email me at [email protected] and call during business hours at 650-918-6259

First of all....That is a cool magic trick for you to pop up like that. Cool. It's the little gestures like these that boosts customer confidence!

Sucks to hear that about the SUV and thanks for the recommendation to try them in person. The idea of controlling cadence seemed very appealing in an ebike. Eg: I could set the cadence to a relaxed 60 and put it up on the highest power level and I should be just cruising in theory, right? no shifting, relaxed heart rate but still ebiking! That was the goal.

I will be in touch Joe!

Yes- in theory it sounds good but in reality not too many riders are into it.

As an alternative and with a similar problem solved, the new BOSCH EMTB mode does some of the same feel as the NuVinci but it's controlled electronically by the Bosch system only and you have the option to turn it on or off as you like.

I had an opportunity to ride some MOUSTACHE ebikes in France last week that had EMTB mode installed and found it a great ride!

What do you think is the best light-ish full suspension e mountain bike? I hear the cubes are excellent? I have a very powerful hard tail from biktrix. I live inCrested Butte Colorado and want a lighter full suspension mountain e bike.

Hi Tim,
If you are considering a Cube, we just launched a big sale on 2018 models. Great Bosch systems with Fox or Rockshox suspension at great prices while supplies last.
I don't think there is a "best full suspension ebike". There's lots of excellent products right now so it's a matter of getting a bike you like, feel good on and a reasonable
price. Always go with a Bosch, Yamaha or Shimano motor.
Give me a call if you'd like some guidance on our sale items 650-918-6259

Brose' and Bafang make some pretty efficient motors also.

If Lisa at Chopwood can't get you a deal on the lightest eMTB out at this point maybe Davemo can cut some slack on a Trek PowerFly as they seem to be getting high ratings. Never hurts to shop local! There are a couple of eBike manufacturers based out of Denver that may be looking for some exposure also.

Hi TIm,

They might, but Bosch, Yamaha and Shimano are superior in my opinion.

Hi Joe-

It is difficult to purchase without a test ride first to get the real feel of the E-bike. Just curious if you are suggesting we find a dealer that has your bikes for test ride where we live, then purchase from you or purchase from you, then if we do not like it return it to you? Just trying to understand your business strategy here. Many of us do not reside in the SF Bay area. Try before you buy! Thanks in advance!
