When the hell are Bosch’s 625wh batteries going to be available?

If your current batteries also have an outer attached weather cladding from the bike manufacturer, you would need to order that also, as the battery will not come with it. In my case, R&M Superdelite, it would have left the batteries exposed to the weather/elements.

All that arrived from Trek months ago.

I'm sorry to hear you are still waiting on your new battery.

QBP shows they are expected in 2 days. This could change, but may be a good idea to check in with your shop and make sure they are ready to order as soon as they come into stock.

I realize this has been said before, but this is the bike industry right now, and most other industries for that matter. I was shopping for a higher-end suspension MTB fork last night... ZERO availability for any of the approx (12) models I would consider purchasing, even in the uglier colorways. Same goes for bicycle drive trains, brakes, wheels, cranks, tires... you name it, and it's unavailable.

A few months back, I built my wife a "new" mountain bike. Due to parts shortages, I paid nearly DOUBLE for the new frame and had to order it from the EU (they had 1 available on an obscure website- only one I could find on Earth.) The wheels were my old MTB race wheels from 2008, and the rest of the parts came from various areas of my used parts collection. A digression for sure, but I want to paint the picture.

Demand is very high, and supply is very low. Unfortunately, supply chain issues are predicted to be with us for a considerable time.

I am truly sorry that you have to wait this long to get the second battery to complete your bike. I'll share any updates I can get.

I just spoke with my contact. The current ETA is still accurate, though supply may be limited. I was also told that there was been sporadic availability during the past few months, but the available units may likely have been grabbed by whatever shop was quickest on the "item watch" emails.

@Dallant Can you please PM me the name/address of the shop you are ordering your battery with? I will see if there is anything else we can do.

Thanks for the response! PM sent.

My Trek guy checked yet again today and nothing there.

Hurrah! The Bosch 625wh battery arrived on Friday and the Trek cover and end pieces are being put together and adjusted to the bikes even as we speak! What a great relief!
Aren't you glad you waited patiently for Bosch to receive from their suppliers the quality cells that were destined to go into the battery during this "global pandemic" :)

Nice!
So are you saying that the spare battery fits in the top tube bag?
Is that a Trek bag? It fits perfectly 👍

Yes, as you can see there’s a battery in the bag. No, it’s not a Trek bag, it’s a large size Stasher’s bag and comes with foam insulation, which I carefully removed so the battery would fit. It’s originally designed to hold drink cans, wine bottles, food, etc. and can be found on Amazon in several colors/patterns. It even fits on the Rail 5, though not quite as well.

I like it when a plan works out!

Yup. No reason not to. It’s only a year old and working very well. The 625 is for longer tours. Now I can use my Stash top bar bag for the main reason I bought it!
Great looking setup. I have the range extender with the 500 watt powerpack. It is convenient but ugly and always there detracting from the bike's great looks whether in use or not. This is a much more elegant and sensible solution that allows you to leave it behind without a trace when not needed....plus it gives even greater range.

Thanks. I guess we’ll see how good it is when I actually use it for my intended purpose. Its still a great bag for general use and as a good cooler bag when I put the waterproof bag and the foam back in.
