Okay. Makes more sense. Didn't know the cranks were anything but steel. I think the pedal bolts are grade 8 just going by the black color? I watched a video of a guy talking about some common things we should know for cycling. Pedal up on the side of the turn which I fortunately was doing, logically speaking. I did have a short event just yesterday when I thought I could hop or climb an uneven parallel slab of concrete since it was shallow and my tires have decent tread. NOT!!! Nearly had my first crash. Was only going sub-light speed, under 10 MPH, so it was a fast recovery with my left foot stopping my fall to the left.My cranks are Aluminum. . .
I really can't fault them with some of the pedal strikes I've had... Something had to give eventually.
