Really interested in the Cross Connect. I work as a courier/messenger in Chicago. Wondering if anyone has experience riding these bikes in rain or cold weather.

One of my cocerns would be the lcd controller. Will the pedal assist still work if the controller goes down?

I'm thinking I could add some extra protection to it. To be honest I wouldn't be adverse to removing it and just using the on the fly controls. Is that possible?

A clear baggie held on by a small bungee or rubber band works. I use that method when carrying on an outside rack if expecting rain while driving.

Bike won’t operate without display more than likely.
