Ya, I just checked the Canadian Costco site and they have a few listed although as expected they're costlier than the US site. I like the Jetson, the frame looks awfully familiar
Right? I would have thought this was obvious. I wonder how many Walmart actually sells, if any. I don't care enough to look as I'm not buying an e-bike sold at walmart or on walmart.com ever.
I had this shock with Walmart on another item--I thought "Walmart, so I can take it back to my local store if it doesn't fit." Nope. 3rd party seller. Expensive to return. Read the fine print, for sure, before plunking down hundreds of dollars.
Right. If you look at the form it notes "not for pickup". You'll find a lot of things that Wal Mart doesn't actually sell listed under their site. As noted, third party pass through.
Walmart is trying, not very successfully, to compete with Amazon for online sales. Try an Amazon search for "electric bicycle". There are 30 pages of ebikes and ebike kits.
Someone has been parking a Nakto ebike at work for the past month and I wondered where they got it, now I see on Walmart it is the oddly named Nakto Camel https://www.walmart.com/ip/NAKTO-Ci...V-10A-for-Women-26-inch-CAMEL-White/754515325. Might be safer than the cheapest Walmart Roadmaster bicycle/DIY kit conversions, but a rear drum brake is a bit basic.
I wonder what Walmart's Protection Plan covers in terms of servicing/repairs - it says it covers Mechanical, Motor, electrical, & Power supply failure https://www.walmart.com/protection In the small print it says both:. If You were offered and elected to include Battery Coverage on Your Product, Your Protection Plan shall also include up to one (1) battery repair or replacement during the first two (2) years of the Coverage Term, when the original rechargeable battery is defective as determined by Us and at Our sole discretion. And later it says under exclusions "Consumer replaceable or consumable batteries unless Battery Coverage has been offered and purchased at the time of sale with Your Protection Plan" https://www.squaretrade.com/img/merchant/pdf/terms-conditions/walmart-terms-english.pdf Do Walmart replace batteries within 2 years?
Mal Wart had IZip Currie Drive SLA battery bikes on their sales floors over 10 yrs. ago. Price was around $350 iirc.
Limited power, range and weight kept most in the garage and they show up on CL to this day fairly well preserved due to their lack of use. Ads say “needs battery”.
Fast forward to today and their online sales via shipping fulfillment of Ali Express class eBikes at least is providing some more up to date eBikes but I would wager most will suffer the same fate. Caveat Emptor
