Has anyone figured a way to attach the Varia to the rear rack? I have a bad attached to my seat so it makes the seat post attachment not workable.

Also, do I really have to manually power on and off the Varia every time I use? Would be nice if it being connected to the TCD could trigger power on and off or atleast off.

Forgotten to power down several times after morning commute

You would need an Garmin Varia™ eRTL615 to wire into the lighting system otherwise it's just the battery version. I use one as my wired taillight mounted to the seat on my Creo. Search through support specialized for the Tero X 6.0 see if they have a wiring diagram. You "may" be able to replace the fender mounted light with the eRTL615 but it is sensitive to polarity i.e. ground and hot wires must be correct.

I have mine on the fixed part of the seat tube, and even though it's kind of low, it works fine. I actually think the lower position is better in situations where you are near (but not on) a road.

I have also seen seat bag setups where it mounts to the back of the bag.

I have failed to turn mine off, but it's usually not forgetting (because the red blinking is so bright) but because I don't hold the button quite long enough and shift from blink to "no light" mode but the radar is still going.

I have a seat bag but I've attached the Varia to the seat as well using the Seat Rail Mount Kit. You can usually find similar, cheaper versions on Amazon if that's easier for you.

If you have a "swat" seat post by specialized, you can use this
