Vado SL 4 Turbo. 6 weeks old 240 miles 3 charge cycles. Placed on charge and all seemed normal. Went to use in morning and everything dead. No response whats so ever. Plugged charger back in and nothing. Just had call from shop and they say they have ordered a new battery and wireing harness. Am I right in thinking the electronics are built into the battery unit ?
Anyone else had a similar issue ? Worries me a little for the future reliability.

Thanks for reading.

Try removing the battery from the frame and then reinstall it, just to be sure it's seated precisely. sometimes if you get a slight misalignment of the battery the contacts don't make a good connection. It's worth a shot.

First, he would have to remove the motor?
Stefan, not sure if you were responding to me, but I meant just to use the key to unlock the battery pack, remove it for a moment and then reinstall it. Also wipe the contacts on the bike and battery a bit just to ensure they are clean.

Ike, as far as I know, the battery of SL e-bikes is non-removable... (Am I wrong?)

Yes the battery is built in and you have to at least part remove the motor to change. Bike is currently at Specialized dealership being looked at under warrenty.
