Glad to see this thread since this is how I plan on using my Vado when I get it: to replace my dual-purpose Crosstrail hybrid which has the geometry on which the Vado was based. We have a lot of crushed limestone rail trails that can actually be ridden on a road bike, but also lots of quiet dirt & gravel roads that range from very smooth to rough, rutted and washboarded depending on time of year and how recently they've been graded.
