Vado 5 initial mode changed to Turbo

When I started my Turbo Vado 5 the mode on TCDW was always Sport mode (two bars).
Recently when turn the power on the TCDW shows Turbo mode (three bars).
I always change it to Eco at the beginning of my ride anyway.
Just wondering if this was changed during firmware update or is this an option in Mission Controls (that I changed inadvertently).
Please let me know if you have noticed this.
If an option I would like to change it to start the ride on Eco mode.
@Stefan Mikes ??

I don't know if the firmware changed but you can change that initial start power in Mission Control. Mine started in TWO and I changed it back to ONE.

Have you looked to the updated Mission Control @Nxkharra? I can see a new option for Startup Assist Mode under Tune. At least for Vado SL.
P.S. Valid for full Vado, too.

The access to my "big" Vado is somewhat limited, as the e-bike is in storage, and I need to use my car to collect it for long or demanding trips. As I will need my Vado 5.0 for Sunday, I collected it and tried the new feature of Mission Control. So I could confirm it worked as intended.

Extremely useful feature: I hated Sport as the Startup Assist Mode.

Why not like the Sport mode to start??

I try to economize on the battery and get some better workout. Therefore, I fine tune the Eco setting for given ride conditions, and am trying to stay in that mode for the most of the ride. I switch to Sport when harder conditions are met en route (strong headwind, moderate climbs), and Turbo is for emergency and difficult ascents.

With the Sport mode as the default, I was getting a lot of acceleration on first meters ridden; while I typically start my rides slowly and cautiously until I have found myself on the road.

Works on the Creo too. I prefer to start in the zero mode. I don't use Mission Control often except to check the diagnostics so I didn't know about that feature to change the startup modes.

Leaving my house is either flat or downhill (80 feet descent) as a decent drop. I don't need Sport for those first few blocks.

Thanks. Exactly my approach to riding. 👍😃
after the knee replacement in Feb.I am becoming stronger and staying in eco mode most of the times except climb.
May be one day strong enough for SL

Bear in mind that my legs won't improve, still I took the brave decision of buying an SL. I'm very happy with it; I just ride it slower than the big Vado.
All the best to you!

The Sport mode is perfect for my starting. Always loved the feel of the torque in that mode. The only exception for me is in my group rides, then it’s eco when starting.
Glad your knee replacement went well Nxkharra. Continued improvement!

Thank you for well wishes. @Marci jo 🙏🙏

the reason some of us like to start from eco is when you continue the ride and then use sport mode then it gives you a great feeling.
also I like to explore if starting on a lower assist makes less demand on drive trains (gear, cassette, chain ring). Good question for @Stefan Mikes
when I bought my bike and was using the higher assist level instead of gearing up or down I noticed more wear in my drive trains.
