Two new bike questions

Hi from Michigan,
Just charged the battery overnight for the first time on my brand new never ridden Rad Wagon and I'm confused as to why one light is red and one green on the charger this morning?
The charger seems to have turned itself off as it went from warm to cold but I've never encountered a charger before where a red light stayed on?
Also wondering if I can charge this battery from a gasoline operated generator?

It's working as designed. You get two red lights when it's charging, one red and one green when charging is complete. There is text on the charger explaining this below the lights.
