Trailer for towing e-bikes

Trailers for bicycles are quite common. Most I've seen look something like this:

You can save some money though by buying a small utility trailer such as:

It's fairly easy to mount two or three roof style bike racks to the bed. It could also be used to haul other items.

This one is very light and offers a lot of flexibility:

Due to the high value of e-bikes and the likelihood of theft, I've been thinking of using a small box trailer for added security. Something like this with a roof that opens to make loading easier would be handy:

There are a lot of options out there including modifying a small boat trailer. I guess it depends on you budget and your ability to work with tools. It would be easy to mount a couple of roof style bike racks to something like this:

The problem I'm running into with bike racks like the rackwarehouse.com one above is that I'm actually hauling two tricycles. Do you think a generic lowes.com one is the best solution there? Is there a rack I could mount to the bed that would help with trikes?

Trikes are fairly stable and aren't prone to tipping. You would have to measure that Lowes trailer to see if two trikes would fit. You could save some space by loading one facing forward and the other facing to the rear. The mesh trailer bed would make it easy to hold the trike wheels in place using rope or heavy duty zip ties. I don't think you would need a rack.
