I took part in this survey...

After having answered many detailed questions, I was taken to the personal credentials form to find this fine-print notice:

I might have asked: Spain? Belgium? Netherlands? Aren't these European countries? (For people less familiar with geography, the capital city of the European Union, Brussels, is located in Belgium).

I wonder where's Tom's Guide located.

I'm not going to spend a year of my spare time to learn Flemish.
OTOH I spent 8 years of public school learning Spanish. Not being a catedral fan the only thing I really want to see in Spain is the Roman aquaduct in Sevilla. Maybe a flamenco (dance) festival.
Italy is up there of lists of sites I want to see. Brenner pass, maybe on 2 wheels? I'd take a pass on Juliet's balcony that Globus busses always stop at. Nobody sells a Palladian architecture tour.
But I look up a lot of words I heard on DW news (deutch) and France 24 news. I found a RER station near Luxembourg Park with help I solicited in Paris in the language. South France, maybe next overseas trip.

You'd get by with your English almost everywhere in Europe. The only country that is really negative to English is France... :) The level of English is different in different EU countries but generally you would be understood everywhere. It is because English has been taught in European schools for many years now.

The same for the Canadian province of Quebec. The French chip on the shoulder is not a fry.

The brave leaders will have to get rid of latin-based languages like Spanish because most everything is already gendered. And there be the crimes.
