To latch or not to latch

Hello EBR crew, I have an lectric xp that is @ 200 miles. But toady when I was riding. The latch released. Any ways of closing it more securely?

There is an adjustment screw. Give it a quarter turn and check. Repeat until the latch is very snug.

WHAT the WHAT!?
Not what anyone wants to hear.. I'll wrap that SOB with Saran wrap or something.. Wow!
I'll be looking at this for sure.. also checking that possible adjustment... maybe some "RED thread lock" or whatever it's called, for that spot.

I put a stretchable Velcro strap tightly wrapped around the frame and over the latch just for peace of mind. It also covers the charging port plug which is another poor design. Kills 2 birds with one strap.
