Tip: Fitting a Sturmey Archer hub to a diagonal dropout

You'll have a problem fitting a Sturmey Archer 3 speed hub to diagonal dropout because, they are made for a horizontal dropout.
That important fact is not mentioned anywhere in the SA specs.
The Sturmey Archer no turn washers will line up the flats on the axle with the dropout rather than parallel with the chain arm.
The solution that I found was Shimano 8L and 8R no turn washers.
You'll have to machine the inside with a Dremel to accomidate the larger Sturmer Archer axle.
I replaced a Nexus 3 speed coaster brake with a SA 3 speed drum brake hub and this solution worked perfectly. The brake arm lined up exactly with the coaster brake tab.
