Throttle option?

I’m having trouble finding a class 2 hub motor, mid bike battery options that I can try before buying (need upright). Do you know which brands/motors may have the option to add a throttle? I was told this can’t be done with Bosch motors (not sure if this is true). Help is appreciated-just looking for workable options.

Options are too many to count - until you get to the part about riding before buying. With what we have going on at the moment, biking interest has gone through the roof and caught shops and manf's completely flat footed. Point being, there are darn few bikes (maybe none) available to test ride.

This leaves newbies wanting to go for a ride, which is NOT a bad plan at all, pretty much out of luck. The only alternative is to do lots of reading and research while waiting for inventory levels to improve.

Just been out trying bikes and Gazelle Arroya Elite, Gazelle T10+, Bulls LaCuba and Specialized Cuomo on the short list. Any pros/cons from any owhers of these greatly appreciated. I’ll be laying down the Visa card next week. Thanks for the help.

I’ve given up on throttle but the extra power of a class 3 seems to do the job too. The specialized didn’t fit my geometry which was too bad because it had a lot of zip and was lightweight. Bulls has a class 3 I’m trying out tomorrow so hoping it works out. The Gazelle T10+ is a great one too but didn’t fit well.

Keep in mind the "fit" of most bikes can be altered by changing the seat, seat post and handlebars. Adding a stem riser can create a more upright riding position. Check the cable lengths to make sure it's possible to do so.
