Throttle and brake connectors

Hi my throttle wire harness snapped of right before sealed joint so couldn't repair it so im looking for a replacement wire harness which has the 2 red connectors for brakes and one yellow for throttle. The problem i have is the cable from control box for these is a blue 4 pin connector the only ones I have an 8 pin to control box connection so don't know how I can work round this?

try Ali express or one of the Chinese sites,chances are you can find a similar cable( this must be a Julet connector?)

Ye the cable coming from control box is a 4 pin blue julet all the harness I've seen online only have an 8 pin connector

As mentioned above, you might be able to find a replacement online, but your best bet would be to contact the bike maker.

If you are proficient with fine wire soldering, you could also make up a replacement harness by buying individual pigtail connectors like these:

Determining the correct pinout could be a problem though.

I think the only option is i can get another thumb throttle which has a 4 pin connector and get an extension to controller as im selling the bike anyway I just wanted the throttle working

The only thing I wont be able to connect is the brake sensors as they were on the original harness

Determining the correct pinout could be a problem though.

Soldering? you have to have the skill of "Pedaluma" and others to that,last time I tried solder was flying and was almost crying,thank God for solder less connectors.

I brought a new thumb throttle with the blue 4 pin connection connected it to controller cable tried it before putting it on bike but nothing! Don't understand why its not working unless its because brake sensor cables are disconnected

Shaun, can you get detailed information about the cabling from the manufacturer? Or it could be that your wiring got crimped / torn when the damage occurred...

So you illegally use a throttle in the UK ?

So any insurance you have if you bothered is not valid and if you should ever bee involved in an accident even NOT your fault good luck with the Police

It was just a clearance bike off ebay I just want throttle working for when I sell it I want to find out if you can cut 8 pin julet off end and wire on a 4 pin is this possible

You need to know the purpose of the pins/wires and how it connects to the controller.
In other words you need the controller wiring schematic and an understanding of how to possibly manipulate it for your needs.
No one here can answer your question without this information as well.
