I have this on order- cost was $1,100 with free shipping. The bike is scheduled for delivery 10/24. I’ll let you know how it compares to lectric Xp, as I have 3 of those already.Well I also saw the ad for this bike on google search of the lectric xp, I believe that this is a new Company even though they claim to be building bikes for 10 years in the about us page on the website. The frame looks cool and the suspension and brakes are better, but I got a funny feeling as I was checking the website. they had coupon codes that said 300 off fatbear and 100 off shipping and tax UMM shipping is gonna be extraso not sure on total costs. Hoping it's real but not sure, I do have the lectric XP and it is great, but some of the things that this bike has are better but almost to good to be true.
Review of fat bear plus- same bike but with a color controller.I have this on order- cost was $1,100 with free shipping. The bike is scheduled for delivery 10/24. I’ll let you know how it compares to lectric Xp, as I have 3 of those already.
I received mine on Saturday. I unpacked it and took a quick night ride to make sure everything was working. On Sunday, I took it out for 17 miles of very hilly streets around my house. I can't wait to fold it up and take on our next RV trip.
It is am awesome bike for MY MISSION. I ran it on PAS 3 (the highest setting) to test the battery range. After the first 12 miles... it only used 1/4 of the battery charge. The regen does work. Having a full suspension bike is a great feature.
I’m trying to decide between the fat bear or the fat bear plus version. By reading their descriptions I thought the plus version was the only one that could regenerate power. But it looks like you have the regular model with the black and white display. The plus has a color display on their web site ? How do you know if it is regenerating power ??? Right now they are $1,399 and $1,499 and a Rattan$100 off code...so 1299 and 1399. No tax or shipping to MN.I received mine on Saturday. I have the same thoughts as you about the plus model. Do you ever see the power bars increase if you are coasting or pedaling ? Thanks for the infoI-PAS is the regen feature. IMHO the Plus model only provides a different display, more working modes, and shows the regen rate. It also provides more output to the motor. The extra output of the motor was the only thing I considered but decided against needing the extra power. I almost ordered one of each. It would be interesting to ride both bikes up the same hill.
I stick mine in pedal assist level 3 and then never touch the display during the ride. The only thing I ever glance at is the battery level.
Thanks for checking that out. Glad it is regenerating !!! I ordered the Fat Bear PLUS this afternoon! I forgot to ask permission first, so I’ll only be begging forgiveness for the extra $100My power bars did increase back to 100% sometimes. I also watched the voltage. Sometimes the voltage increase can be attributed to less load. I have a meter on my golf cart and I know how it regens on the same hills. It definitely does regen. You can sense a slight drag on deceleration attributed to the regen system taking energy to recharge. Again. my golf cart has similar characteristics in the same areas of my trip so I am really confident that it does recharge pretty well.
