Thoroughly impressed

Many product claims fall short, and our new ebikes are advertised on the manufacturer's website as having a 25-55 range. Naturally the cynic in me expected real-world range of 20-ish.

I'm impressed that both of our Magnum Premium 48 bikes have now delivered 123 miles of enjoyment each on the initial dealer full charge we received them with, and 2 subsequent charges (each bike) since we've owned them for an average range of 41 miles "per tank".

Thoroughly impressed. I'm hoping this is more typical than not, across the ebike universe?
Speaks well for the industry if my experience isn't unique.

Range is based on human weight, elevation change during the ride, assist levels used, and even wind speed. So wondering if the manufacturers marketing numbers are accurate across the ebike universe is quite the question. Happy for you and your new bikes.

Jay Vee is at the same place I have come to after a year of riding my preferred bike style. Once you know the limits of your system in a variety of terrains you can tailor your rides to suit whether you are going for speed or distance without having to really worry. It does help to have an accurate reading of your consumption other than just a voltage reading which is what most of the "gauges" are to help get you to that point. At this time of year there is less daylight time for a ride after getting home so I go for shorter rides at a faster pace and pedal in a bigger gear to generate what I can through the pedals. This results in a higher wh/mi but I don't really care as I am getting what I want out of the ride.

Looked up the Magnum 48 and it is a 48v with a 13ah battery which is 624wh. Which makes your average wh/mi in the 14-15 range which is about the standard that most achieve. However if you keep it in your highest assist level and really get after it in hilly terrain you will see the 25 mile figure no doubt.
