Thorny Tyre Issue

Hi again,

I bought a twin-motor ebike to use on the trails up behind my house, but on close inspection I noticed there are loads of thorn bushes lining the trails and thorny pieces of twigs laying everywhere. I imagine it would take me about five minutes to get a puncture with my present tyres (26x4 knobbly tyres).

My question is whether there is anything I can do/buy in order to make riding the bike on these trails a realistic proposition.

Obviously I'm not the first person to ever face this issue, but what is the best way to tackle it?

As I mentioned in another thread, I just got a puncture on my other ebike on a paved road, so I'm a little wary of punctures as a result.

As always, many thanks for your replies!

Steve

The first thing is really good tires such as Schwalbe PickUps. Muc-Off sealant would be my next step inside extra-thick tubes. I do not personally like foam inserts such as Tanus. They go flat with time and will compress to the thickness of a nickel, 2mm.
