These Kenda 2.1 touring tires seem pretty good

That's what my bike has from the seller. I think they perform very well and haven't slipped when cornering and they transverse streetcar tracks without a problem. Now with 3200 miles of city riding they are showing some wear on the tread as the "knurled" look pattern on the raised portions have just recently become smoothed down a bit on the rear tire. They cost $50 CAD or $40 USD.

Looking ahead, I thought to order a pair of them but I noticed that the front has a different code from the back tire. The Kenda website does not list these but it shows basically the same treads on similar tires but only 1.75 wide.

The code is K1052-005 on front, K1052-006 on the rear.
I wonder what is going on with that difference.
Clues, comments, other recommendations, thank you!

Below is a similar tire tread but only 1.75

That's some outstanding mileage. I've been using Schwalbe Jumbo Jims on my Haibike, but after a thousand or so miles on these tires, flats and other tire issues seem to crop up frequently as compared to when they were knew. And I'm referring to the multiple sets of these very expensive tires that I've owned.

Next time around, I'll be looking into a 120tpi version of the fat tire from other manufacturers other then Schwalbe.

3200 miles on asphalt and concrete is really, really good.

the city streets were in very bad shape as well ... and zero flats. I filled the tubes with Slime after awhile, but still, unless I see something when I take them off, I've had zero punctures.
These tires look like they could go 5000 miles no problem.

I've been online "window shopping" for Schwalbe lots of times since I got the bike, but after using these particular Kendas and getting the problem-free mileage, I'm just about settled on buying the Kendas.

My LBS sells me a Kenda tire I can't buy on the Kenda website. They must sell to wholesale warehouses items they don't sell 2 at a time. Tall tread but a ridge down the middle to make them quieter.
My yubabike came with tires that were not available from the manufacturer. The white color was nice but the 700 miles before a flat was not.
The kenda knobbies I use get a year, ~2000 miles, before the knobs wear down enough to risk going flat from road trash. Were Kenda smoke 2.1" last year.

I ordered them

They arrived today. They are similar not identical tires. These ones have a luminous reflective stripe. I hope they are the same as the originals otherwise, in road handling and wear resistance. It might be next year before I put them on though!
