The Working CCS

I fumble things trying to hold the camera, pardon the really terrible demo.
The cheap bike trailer I painted white and added a Home Depot tub to, contains my professional tools;
I am leaving a private home today where I prepped really nice Steinway grand that has just arrived from its former home up north.
This particular Coconut Grove neighborhood was laid out just exactly 100 years ago, the narrow street is a loop road.

Please note the little toggle switch I throw to activate the already-turned-on bike.

The trailer trails without issue on smooth pavement but requires some care going over speed humps on this street. It is a cheap trailer, really at basis unsafe at any speed. Notice there is no safety chain or other secondary retainer. The job was very close to my home or I would have used a car, because a trailer, imo, turns the bike into a really risky proposition in traffic.

Well I found a great way to put my CCS to work. Its helping my 12 year old son develop a love of cycling. We go on bike rides together frequently, but he doesn't have the same love of cycling that I do. I am very positive and encouraging to him, and do all I can to promote it. Our road riding has him on my road bike and me on an old steel framed MTB. He has enjoyed this more for the higher speeds he can attain, but he still struggles on hills and want to quit earlier than me to avoid them. Well today we went out again with him on the CCS and me on the road bike. I asked him to stay in ECO most of the ride which allowed us to ride together at the same speed and both get a good workout. He really enjoyed this, especially leaving dad in the dust when climbing. I let him use S mode a couple of times when the trail was totally clear, he really liked that. So CCS working out well.:D

You might want to check this out. More stable at the bumps and the price is not bad.
