Drove by one of the largest wind farms in central IL today. 100s parked (4mph wind) as far as the eye can see. Even if this was a video, it would loook the same.

God bless the Cordova Generation Station (if this was a video, the clouds and water would be moving.)

You realize that using AI to generate fake imagery uses a lot of energy, so you are in a way burning the credits you make by using an ebike as your main mean of transportation

Fair criticism. And accepted on the chin. I got rid of my car in January of 2017 and have not been in a plane since 2012. I just asked AI about it. Here is the answer: An electric car could travel about 0.2 to 0.5 miles (0.3 to 0.8 kilometers) on the electricity used to generate a single AI image. [1] That one took more work for example I could not use the word phallus and had several workarounds. So maybe an electric car could go two miles on it. I have only made them couple of times. That reminds me of when I was a sales rep whose territory was all of Southern California and I was driving six-hours per day.

And the worst offenders are the AI generated videos, these can consume an insane amount of energy.....

Poor kid. I installed a new motor in a new wheel from the mfg. It worked perfectly in the stand. He picked it up to ride home and 200 yards out the motor locked-up and froze. He could have crashed. And good thing it was not in front of a car. So, about a half-mile in a car per frame and 60 per second 3,600 per minute, that is 216,000 per hour. You could drive over 100,000 miles on the energy used to make an hour-long high-rez AI video. That is about eight years of driving your electric car. @scrambler has a point.

I was not into Reagan. Or Nixon. Or Bush 1, Or 2. Or W.F. Buckley. But at least they were all mostly sane. I am also okay with discussing other things. I am totally loving the new novel Felicity Complex. A dystopian classic and the Summer must read for 2026. I have some fiscally conservative bents, and some libertarian values, but was raised Quaker in a silent meeting house. The Theory of Mind, of helping those in need, on their terms, came first, as with Christ's teachings. Peace. Service. Not self-serving. Not the powerful. The least of these.
 
There was also that kid who went on a hunting trip across state lines with a military grade weapon, premeditated, to kill humans. A self deputised judge, jury, and exicutioner. I would rather discuss other things.

We are being told year after year of highest rainfall and lowest rainfall ever.
So my spider senses led me to check, they model much of the temperatures these days, so maybe the rainfall is too.

Yup, but its not clear if they are using this data..though I'll wait to be proven otherwise.

Daggone it,it makes perfect sense to have a mode of transport that basically uses an incorruptible source of energy,many ways to produce electricity ,few ways to make liquid hydrocarbon fuels. my brothers ebike sat in the back shed of the shop all winter and when he started fooling with it again it still had full charge and the lack of all the expensive fluids you have to buy to keep an ICE powered vehicle happy( I guess you still have to buy blinker fluid)
